Who is holding the camera
Malek Larif
One person. One eye. No print farm in the middle.
I shoot landscapes, wildlife, cities, and things smaller than a coin, which is more than most photographers will admit to. The reason is simple. I am not loyal to a subject. I am loyal to the light, and the light turns up in a canola field, a jellyfish tank, and a balcony in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Everything on this site is mine. I took it, I edited it, I print it, and I am the one who puts it in the box.
Dark work is half of what I care about. Blue hour, night, lightning, things that only exist when most people have gone inside. Those prints get a paper chosen for shadow depth and a proof checked by eye, every time.
If you write to me, you get me. Not a shop assistant reading from a script. Ask about any photograph here and I will tell you where I was standing.
Where
Canada, Tunisia, and wherever the light is worth the trip.
What leaves the studio
Signed archival prints, a small large edition, and full-resolution files.
What does not
Drop-shipping, unsigned open editions, or anybody else's photographs.
