Close work
Small things, same light
A canola field and a kiwi under a coloured gel are the same problem: where the light is and what it is doing.

A coloured gel and a black ground. The fruit does not need to look like breakfast. It needs to look like light.

One lamp, nothing else. The pink holds if you refuse to fill the shadows.

Through glass, no flash. Orange against dark rock is enough.

Morning, handheld, very close. Each droplet is its own little lens.
